Auto Message is a powerful tool that lets you greet new followers and users automatically — without lifting a finger! Set it up once, and Plamfy takes care of the rest. 🚀
✨ What is Auto Message?
Auto Message is a pre-created template that Plamfy automatically sends on your behalf to:
- New users who join the platform — selected users receive your message shortly after registration.
- New followers — anyone who follows you gets your welcome message within a minute or two.
It's your personal first touch, delivered at scale — without manual effort.
🚀 How to get started
To open Auto Message, follow this path in the app:
👉 Messages → New Message → Auto Message
If it's your first time, you'll see a short 3-card onboarding explaining how the feature works. You can go through it or tap Skip to jump straight to setup.
⚙️ How to create your Auto Message template
Setting up takes just 3 steps:
👉 Step 1 — Select Media
Choose up to 3 photos or videos to include in your message. You can also add a gift that users can unlock.
👉 Step 2 — Add Message Text
Write a welcome text (up to 255 characters). The message must not be empty to proceed.
👉 Step 3 — Review & Save
Preview exactly how your message will look to users. Choose whether to activate it right away or save it as inactive:
- Save and turn on — your template goes live.
- Save as draft — your template is saved but won't be sent until you turn it on.
🔄 Template statuses — what do they mean?
- Pending — your template has been submitted and is being processed.
- Active — your template is live and sending automatically.
- Inactive — your template is saved but paused. Turn the toggle on to resume sending.
- Rejected — your template is not available for sending. Tap the edit icon to update and resubmit it.
✏️ How to edit or turn off Auto Message
From the Auto Message screen, you can:
- Tap the edit icon to update your media, text, or both.
- Use the toggle to pause (Inactive) or resume (Active) sending at any time.
Note: if your template is Pending, the toggle controls what happens once it becomes available — turning it on means it will become Active, turning it off means it will become Inactive.
❗ Important notes
- You can have only one active template at a time.
- Plamfy automatically selects who receives your message — not every user will receive it.
- If you tap How it works on the Auto Message screen, the onboarding cards will reopen anytime.
❓ Why is my Auto Message not being sent?
Even with an Active template, there are situations where Plamfy intentionally skips delivery — to keep inboxes clean and avoid sending messages where a real conversation is already happening.
Check your template status first
Your Auto Message will only be sent if your template is Active. Go to Messages → New Message → Auto Message and check the status badge.
Common reasons a message is skipped
- The user has blocked you, or you have blocked the user.
- Your account was suspended or restricted.
- The user's account was deleted, suspended, or restricted.
- Your template or its media was removed.
- You turned off the toggle between the time the message was scheduled and when it was about to be delivered.
Reasons specific to messages sent after a new follow
When a user follows you, a message is scheduled with a short delay. It will be skipped if, before delivery:
- The user already sent you a message first.
- You already sent the user a message manually.
- The user unfollowed you.
- This user has already received an Auto Message from you before.
Reasons specific to messages sent to newly registered users
- The user already followed you before the message was delivered.
- The user already sent you a message.
- The user already received an Auto Message from you via this trigger.
- Your template was turned off between selection and delivery.
